Leadership is at the core of our mission. We do not simply fund cancer research. We identify and enable new generations of future scientific leaders capable of discovering radical new approaches to how we prevent, diagnose and cure the many forms of cancer.
To accelerate breakthroughs, the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation provides today’s best young scientists with funding to pursue innovative cancer research.
The Foundation supports emerging leaders who have great potential to achieve breakthroughs in how we diagnose, treat and prevent cancer.
To date, the Foundation has invested close to $355 million in cancer research, supporting nearly 3,700 doctors and researchers. Its alumni include 12 Nobel Laureates and 74 members of the National Academy of Science (the science ‘Hall of Fame’).
